Step by step recipe

1 Chocolate mug cake : Photo of step #1Put into a bowl: 50 g butter, 50 g chocolate (in small pieces) and 20 g liquid cream.

Melt for 2 minutes in the microwave on medium power.

4 Chocolate mug cake : Photo of step #4Add 30 g caster sugar and 30 g flour... 1 min.

6 Chocolate mug cake : Photo of step #6You can add some chocolate chips if you like, but this is not essential.

This mixture can be prepared in advanced, even the day before.

Remarks

If you would like a lighter cake, add 1/4 teaspoon baking powder to the mixture.

This is a great way to keep children amused on a rainy afternoon for a few minutes before teatime. As long as you take the mugs out of the microwave for them, there's no risk of them burning themselves.
