1 | If not already done, cut 8 slices bread (not too thick). | |
2 | Grate 50 g Comté cheese, 50 g Parmesan (Parmigiano Reggiano) and 50 g Mimolette, mix. | |
3 | In a bowl, pour 2 Eggs, 100 g liquid cream, salt and pepper and mix. | |
4 | Place the slices of bread in a large dish and sprinkle them with the egg-cream mixture, turn them over to soak each side. Depending on the number of slices, proceed in several times. Preheat your oven to 210°C (410°F) | |
5 | As you do so, place the slices on a baking sheet, possibly protected by a sheet of baking paper. | |
6 | Place in the oven for about 15 minutes to start browning the bread slices. | |
7 | Remove from the oven and top with grated cheese 1 slice on 2... | |
8 | ...then close the croque-monsieur and return to the oven for another 10-15 minutes. | |
9 | Enjoy hot or warm. |
