Chocolate mug cake

For 2 cakes, you will need:

• 1 50 g butter
• 2 50 g dark chocolate
• 3 20 g liquid cream
• 4 1 egg
• 5 30 g caster sugar
• 6 30 g flour
• Total weight: 230 grams

Step by step recipe

• 1: Put into a bowl: 50 g butter, 50 g dark chocolate (in small pieces) and 20 g liquid cream.
  Melt for 2 minutes in the microwave on medium power.
• 2: Mix well.
• 3: Add 1 egg and mix again.
• 4: Add 30 g caster sugar and 30 g flour...
• 5: ... and mix once more.
• 6: You can add some chocolate chips if you like, but this is not essential.
  This mixture can be prepared in advanced, even the day before.
• 7: Divide the mixture evenly between the mugs.
• 8: Cook one mug at a time (this is important) for 1 minute 30 seconds each at 850 Watts.
• 9: Leave to cool for a few minutes before eating as the cake will be boiling in the centre when you take it out of the oven.

Remarks

If you would like a lighter cake, add 1/4 teaspoon baking powder to the mixture.
This is a great way to keep children amused on a rainy afternoon for a few minutes before teatime. As long as you take the mugs out of the microwave for them, there's no risk of them burning themselves.
