|1||Put into a food-processor bowl: 2 eggs, 100 g caster sugar, 100 g flour, 100 g butter (softened and cut into pieces) and 10 g baking powder.|
|2||Mix together until the mixture is even and smooth.|
Set aside in the fridge.
Heat the oven to 370°F (190°C).
|3||Peel 4 Pears, remove the stalk and core, then cut into pieces.|
Put the pieces into a loaf tin or mould.
|4||Put 80 g caster sugar and 2 tablespoons water into a small saucepan on high heat.|
|5||Cook the sugar to light caramel stage...|
|6||...then pour this over the fruit.|
|7||Cover with the cake mixture...|
|8||...and bake for about 40 minutes.|
Serve warm or cold.
