1 | Put into a food-processor bowl: 2 Eggs, 100 g caster sugar, 100 g flour, 100 g butter (softened and cut into pieces) and 10 g baking powder. | |
2 | Mix together until the mixture is even and smooth. Set aside in the fridge. Heat the oven to 370°F (190°C). | |
3 | Peel 4 Pears, remove the stalk and core, then cut into pieces. Put the pieces into a loaf tin or mould. | |
4 | Put 80 g caster sugar and 2 tablespoons water into a small saucepan on high heat. | |
5 | Cook the sugar to light caramel stage... | |
6 | ...then pour this over the fruit. | |
7 | Cover with the cake mixture... | |
8 | ...and bake for about 40 minutes. Serve warm or cold. |
