Step by step recipe

1Preheat the oven to 390°F (200°C).

Put 100 g butter and 125 g caster sugar into a food-mixer bowl.

Mix on slow speed until evenly mixed.

4Shape the mixture into into small heaps using 2 teaspoons, well spaced out on a baking sheet.Grandma Solange's biscuits : etape 25

7Watch carefully towards the end of the cooking time: they are done when the edges are browned.

Remarks

These small biscuits are the equivalent of Proust's madeleine for me: I can't make them without finding myself back, in my thoughts, in that (distant, very distant) time when I was about ten years old.
