Bayleaves are used frequently in mediterraneen cooking.

Use

Pick the leaves directly from the shrub.

Use rather whole, because unlike some herbs, bay leaves are not really edible: they are removed from the dish at the end of cooking.

Keeping

Bayleaves dry well. Keep the dried leaves in an airtight jar.
