Glossary (talk like a chef): Checking seasoning
Tasting to see if the preparation has enough salt and pepper.Example:
"Put over low heat and check seasoning
Meaning: Taste the preparation, and add salt and pepper if there is not enough already (sometimes also called "adjusting" seasoning).
