Stage 1 - 9 min.
The fastest type of hob
We begin by measuring a litre of water at room temperature, and put it in a pan on a gas ring until it boils.

Time taken: 9 minutes 20 seconds.

Stage 2 - 9 min.
The fastest type of hob
Second stage: the same pan is allowed to cool, then another litre of water at room temperature is put on an electric ring and heated until it boils.

Time taken: 9 minutes 30 seconds.

Stage 3 - 4 min.

Third stage: the same pan is allowed to cool, and another litre of water at room temperature is put on an induction hob and heated until it boils.

Time taken: 4 minutes 25 seconds.

One can see that the induction (blue) is a lot faster than either the gas (green) or electricity (red).

Conclusion

There is no doubt, induction is twice as fast as the others.
