Sesame rice is a simple recipe: once cooked, the rice is dressed with a drizzle of sesame oil, then mixed with toasted sesame seeds.

This delicious double sesame flavour makes it an ideal accompaniment for meat or fish.

Cook 200 g rice using whatever method you prefer, for example in a rice-cooker.

Meanwhile toast 30 g sesame seeds for 5 minutes in a small frying pan on medium heat...

...stirring frequently.

Stage 4 - 1 min.
Sesame rice
When the rice is cooked, add 30 g sesame oil...

...and mix.

Remarks
The quantities of sesame oil and seeds are approximate, so do feel free to adapt them to suit your own taste.
