Stage 7
Apple-almond shortbread tart : Stage 7
Place in the oven, with the bottom down, for approximately 30 minutes.

If your apples turn too much color at the end of cooking, protect them with a sheet of aluminum foil.

Stage 8
Apple-almond shortbread tart : Stage 8
Let cool before, if possible, glazing the top of the tart with a brush.

Stage 9
Apple-almond shortbread tart : Stage 9
Enjoy warm or cold.
Remarks
As the combination of shortcrust pastry and almond cream is quite sweet, I recommend you choose more tart apples (reinette, granny-smith...) for a delicious contrast.

Glazing in step 8 is not absolutely essential, but it quickly turns your tart into a little masterpiece...
Keeping: 1 or 2 days in the fridge, protected by cling film.

Sweetcrust pastry is one of the basic pastry of French patisserie, used in many tart and cakes recipes, but it can also be rolled out and cut into biscuits, delicious with tea or coffee. This recipe is given for those who have a mixer (Kenwood, KitchenAid or other), but it can also be done with your hands. Please note that it's very important to make it several hours before using it, if possible the day before, as then it's much easier to work.
