For this astonishingly quick and easy recipe, you form balls from sponge-cookie powder, mascarpone and coffee, and roll them in cocoa. The tiramisu taste is guaranteed.

For 2 pieces, you will need:
  • 1 finger biscuits ½ cup finger biscuits
  • 2 Mascarpone 13 cup Mascarpone
  • 3 icing sugar 13 tablespoon icing sugar
  • 4 cold coffee 2 tablespoons cold coffee
  • 5 Marsala 13 tablespoon Marsala (optional)
  • 6 powdered cocoa 1 tablespoon powdered cocoa

Step by step recipe


Stage 1 - 2 min.
Tiramisu balls
Put ½ cup finger biscuits in a food processor...

Stage 2 - 3 min.
Tiramisu balls
...and grind them to a fine powder.

Repeat if necessary.

Stage 3 - 3 min.
Tiramisu balls
Pour the powder into a salad bowl, add 13 cup Mascarpone, 13 tablespoon icing sugar, 2 tablespoons cold coffee and possibly 13 tablespoon Marsala.

Stage 4 - 3 min.
Tiramisu balls
Mix by hand...

Stage 5
Tiramisu balls
...until you obtain a homogeneous paste.

Stage 6 - 5 min.
Tiramisu balls
Cut the dough into 90-100g pieces.

Stage 7 - 5 min.

Roll the dough into a ball between your hands...

Stage 8
Tiramisu balls
...and place them as you go on a baking sheet.

Place in the fridge, covered with cling film.

Stage 9 - 3 min.

A few minutes before serving, roll the balls in cocoa powder...

...and tap to remove excess.

Do this for each ball, then serve within half an hour, otherwise the cocoa will moisten and turn a very dark brown, far less appetizing.
Remarks
You can replace the sponge cookies with boudoirs.

This is a recipe that can easily be made into filled balls: As you roll them, insert a small piece of fruit purée or jam (for example) in the middle, which you've hardened in the freezer in small heaps.
Keeping: 1 or 2 days in the fridge, protected by cling film, without the cocoa.
