On a slice of toasted bread: barely-cooked Spanish ham, sticks of fried chorizo, slices of peeled tomato and sliced feta.

Step by step recipe


Stage 1 - 5 min.
Mediterranean toast : Stage 1
Cut 100 g Chorizo into sticks.

Stage 2 - 2 min.
Mediterranean toast : Stage 2
Fry in a small pan over medium heat, without adding any fat, for 1 or 2 minutes.

Stage 3 - 1 min.
Mediterranean toast : Stage 3
Fry 4 slices cured ham in the same pan for just 30 seconds on each side.

Stage 4 - 4 min.
Mediterranean toast : Stage 4
Slice 2 tomatoes, salt and pepper, then fry in the same pan on both sides.

When cooked, just before removing from the pan, take off the skin and discard.

Stage 5 - 2 min.

Toast the slices of bread in the toaster(optional).

Stage 6 - 1 min.
Mediterranean toast : Stage 6
Arrange on a baking sheet.

Preheat the oven to 220°C (430°F).

Stage 7 - 5 min.
Mediterranean toast : Stage 7
Spread a little olive oil on each slice of bread with a brush then add pepper.

Stage 8 - 5 min.
Mediterranean toast : Stage 8
Place a slice of ham, then chorizo sticks on each slice of bread.

Stage 9 - 5 min.
Mediterranean toast : Stage 9
Add 2 slices of tomato on top.

Stage 10 - 5 min.
Mediterranean toast : Stage 10
And finish with the feta.

Stage 11 - 30 min.
Mediterranean toast : Stage 11
Cook in the oven for 10 minutes.
Remarks
You can vary the ingredients in this recipe, change the cheese or the ham, etc. I prefer using Spanish cured ham.
Keeping: 1 or 2 hours before cooking.
