In this recipe, very similar to the hot box, a Camembert cheese is baked in the oven, surrounded by baked potatoes set on a fondue of onions.

Step by step recipe


Stage 1 - 10 min.
Baked Camembert
Peel, wash and cut into large 1 kg potatoes pieces.

Stage 2 - 30 min.
Baked Camembert
Cook in salted water until tender.

Stage 3 - 2 min.
Baked Camembert
Drain and set aside.

Stage 4 - 3 min.
Baked Camembert
Remove the Camembert from its box and paper, then score the top with a knife.

Stage 5 - 2 min.
Baked Camembert
Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F).

Butter a baking dish.

Stage 6 - 3 min.
Baked Camembert
Place the Camembert cheese in the middle of the dish, then spread it around in an even 250 g onion fondue layer.

Stage 7 - 2 min.
Baked Camembert
Pour over the potatoes and season lightly with salt and pepper.

Stage 8 - 3 min.
Baked Camembert
Using a pastry brush, coat the top of the Camembert and potatoes with a little oil to give them a nice color when cooked.

Stage 9 - 30 min.
Baked Camembert
Place in the oven at 200°C (390°F) for around 30 minutes, watching carefully for browning at the end.

Baked Camembert
Serve hot, sharing camembert, potatoes and onions, and enjoy!
Remarks
The quantities of potatoes and onions are very indicative, so feel free to adapt them to your taste or to what you have at home.

For serving once cooked, you can also quickly stir the contents of the dish before serving.
Keeping: 1 or 2 days in the fridge, protected by cling film.
