Step by step recipe


Stage 1 - 5 min.
Express apple tart
Preheat the oven to 220°C ou 428°F.

Unroll or roll out 200 g Puff or flaky pastry (pâte feuilletée) and put on a cooking parchment on a baking sheet.

Stage 2 - 2 min.
Express apple tart
Spread 120 g Stewed apple (compote) over the pastry, to within about 0.5 cm of the edge.

Stage 3 - 7 min.
Express apple tart
Peel 5 apples, remove core, and cut into slices.

Stage 4 - 4 min.

Put apple slices onto the tart.

Stage 5 - 30 min.
Express apple tart
Put in the oven, and cook until the pastry turns golden brown (about 30 minutes).

Stage 6 - 3 min.
Express apple tart
You can glaze (with apricot jelly) the tart to give it an attractive finish.
Keeping: 1 or 2 days in the fridge, folded in a plastic film.
