Step by step recipe


Stage 1 - 5 min.
Chicken with spinach in a cream sauce
Peel 3 spring onions (scallions), separate the green part from the white and chop each of these separately.

Stage 2 - 5 min.
Chicken with spinach in a cream sauce
Prepare 4 cups cooked spinach and 4 cups cooked potatoes, if not already done. Slice the potatoes.

Stage 3 - 10 min.
Chicken with spinach in a cream sauce
Pour 6 tablespoons oil into a frying pan on medium heat. When good and hot, add the sliced potatoes.

Fry until lightly browned on both sides.

Stage 4 - 1 min.
Chicken with spinach in a cream sauce
Then add the white part of the onion, salt and pepper. Cook for 1 minute.

Stage 5 - 1 min.

Add the cooked 3 cups + 3 tablespoons chicken, cut into small pieces...

Stage 6 - 1 min.

...the spinach...

Stage 7 - 1 min.

...and finally 3 cups + 3 tablespoons liquid cream, salt and pepper.

Stage 8 - 10 min.

Leave uncovered on low heat to thicken as required.

Stage 9 - 2 min.
Chicken with spinach in a cream sauce
Checking the seasoning, add the green part of the onion, mix well and serve.
Remarks
This is an ideal way to use up chicken leftovers,, such as from five hours poultry.

A day or two in the fridge, covered with plastic film.
