A deliciously refreshing summer salad recipe, very simple to make, tomatoes, green salad and croutons, ideal for hot summer days.

Step by step recipe


Stage 1 - 15 min.
Refreshing summer salad
Peel and cut into small pieces 4 tomatoes .

Add a little salt and leave to stand while you prepare the other ingredients.

Stage 2 - 10 min.
Refreshing summer salad
Prepare 1 lettuce, then cut into chiffonade and pour into a salad bowl.

Stage 3 - 2 min.

Pour it into the bowl, then add the tomatoes...

... and chopped herbs (here parsley and chives).

Stage 6 - 5 min.
Refreshing summer salad
Cut 2 slices bread into small pieces, and brown them in a small frying pan with 2 tablespoons olive oil.

Stage 7 - 2 min.
Refreshing summer salad
Add the croutons to the bowl, pour in 5 tablespoons french dressing (vinaigrette) and mix well.

Serve chilled, but not too cold.
Remarks
The quantities of tomatoes and lettuce are only indicative, so don't hesitate to adapt them.

The croutons, if you use them, can be made with olive oil, in keeping with the recipe, or with butter, a little more gourmet.
