Step by step recipe


Stage 1 - 20 min.
Leek and fresh tuna tart
Prepare and chop 600 g leek.

Stage 2 - 5 min.
Leek and fresh tuna tart
Cut 500 g fresh tuna into chunks, then salt and pepper lightly.

Stage 3 - 5 min.

Pour 4 tablespoons olive oil into a large frying pan on high heat. When hot, add the tuna chunks.

Fry quickly, stirring frequently, until just starting to brown. They do not need to be cooked through.

Set aside.

Stage 4 - 5 min.

Using the same pan, pour in 4 tablespoons olive oil, then the chopped leeks.

Cook very lightly, stirring from time to time.

Salt and pepper after removing from the heat.

Set aside.

Stage 5 - 3 min.

Preheat the oven to 430°F (220°C).

Prepare 1 kg quiche filling mixture.

Stage 6 - 5 min.

Roll out the puff pastry and line the tart tin or mould. Prick all over the base with a fork.

Spread the leeks in an even layer.

Stage 8 - 3 min.

Arrange the chunks of tuna on top.

Stage 9 - 2 min.

Pour the quiche mixture around the tuna chunks.

Stage 10 - 25 min.
Leek and fresh tuna tart
Bake for around 25 minutes.

Leek and fresh tuna tart
Serve warm or cold, with a green salad, for example.
Remarks
One way you can make this tart even better is to marinate the chunks of tuna before cooking in a mixture of olive oil and lemon juice.
